About Us:

The Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society works to create and translate knowledge that enables inclusion, equity, health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of capacity building projects including youth, aging and aged care, mental health, and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations sectors.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve processes, support good practice and outcomes for our capacity-building projects
  • Oversee multiple projects and staff, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and quality standards are met.
  • Pursue opportunities for partnership aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Supervise and coordinate staff within the team, ensuring allocation of responsibilities, review of performance and development needs.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher with substantial extension of theories and principles learned through experience; or significant management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing concurrent projects and teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing research and its implications for service delivery, policy, and interventions.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing staff to promote cohesive and effective teams and managing workflows.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
