Role Overview:

Join our team as a Senior Technical Officer, where you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of initiatives that support our electrical plant operations.

Compensation: Salary range $113,448 – $131,517 plus superannuation.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer, particularly in automation, testing, and commissioning of heavy industrial rotating machinery. Familiarity with hydropower systems is highly desirable. You will possess extensive technical expertise and a collaborative mindset, enjoying problem-solving in a team environment. Hands-on experience with high-speed instrumentation and data logging equipment is essential, along with the ability to produce high-quality documentation to support commissioning tasks. This role will require travel to scenic locations throughout Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

In this hands-on position, you will work closely with site-based personnel and project teams, including project managers and other engineers. You will spend significant time on-site, testing and commissioning our industrial power stations following major refurbishment projects to ensure their ongoing reliability and sustainability. When not in the field, you will benefit from flexible working arrangements while connecting with industry experts from our Hobart office.
