About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Principal Engineer specialising in Secondary Design. As a key member of our in-house team, you will be responsible for circuity designs, protection schemes, and protection relays for our extra high-voltage substations and overhead lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secondary high-voltage systems for our substations and overhead lines
  • Collaborate with our SCADA team to ensure seamless integration of protection schemes and protection relays
  • Lead the creation of top-tier designs for secondary high-voltage systems, directing a team of engineers and designers
  • Engage in close collaboration with colleagues to advance secondary engineering excellence
  • Leverage your profound experience in High Voltage systems to contribute significantly to our various flagship projects
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others
  • Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Mi Com, Digsilent, Power Factory, PSSE will be highly regarded
