Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plastering and carpentry, with extensive knowledge of plastering trades. This role is crucial for managing our high-end commercial projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee commercial fit-out projects including walls, ceilings, bulkheads, trims, doors, frames, skirtings, and external cladding/soffits.
- Lead a crew of 10 employees and coordinate with two sets of contractors.
- Work closely with our estimator, admin, and accounts team.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Handle seismic design, rondo designs, and technical framing design issues.
- Install as per manufacturer guidelines, finding cost-effective solutions.
- Occasionally assist on-site to ensure proper decision-making and problem-solving.
Requirements:
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Proven experience in commercial plastering and carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of plastering trades and technical framing design.
- Ability to manage large projects or multiple smaller projects independently.
- Experience with seismic design and rondo designs is essential.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely using a laptop.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
