Job Title: Piping Design Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to create and integrate high-quality 3D piping system models and 2D production outputs using advanced digital shipbuilding toolsets.

No previous shipbuilding experience is required. You will be working on Australia's most complex shipbuilding program, producing accurate piping system models, fabrication drawings, and installation details in accordance with engineering and quality standards.

About the Role
  • As a member of our international Detail Design team, you will collaborate with engineers, production, and other design disciplines to resolve integration challenges and ensure effective teamwork.

You will work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with engineers, production, and other design disciplines to resolve integration challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and integrate piping layouts and isometric drawings under supervision (Entry Level)
  2. Produce accurate piping system models, fabrication drawings, and installation details in accordance with engineering and quality standards (Intermediate Level)
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and integration of piping systems in a 3D CAD environment
  • Proven ability to produce fabrication, spool, and installation drawings for mechanical/piping systems
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, Siemens NX, REVIT, or similar)
  • Diploma of Engineering (Technical) or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Strong communication skills and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
