Job Overview

As a registered nurse or enrolled nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and supervision to Graduate Registered Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nurse Students. Your role will involve planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and document patient assessment findings
  • Monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations
  • Assist in assessing complicated nursing problems and guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nursing Students as needed
  • Plan and implement nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients

While promoting an environment of confidence, confidentiality and respect, you will identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems. You will also assist and maintain a high standard of care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living and encouraging appropriate self-care.

Requirements
  • Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in Oncology or Palliative care speciality or an interest in these areas
