Job Overview

The Senior FIX Connectivity Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing our in-house connectivity platform and delivering key initiatives related to our Delta 1 flow.

This position requires end-to-end ownership of the delivery process, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.

Key responsibilities include optimising and reducing latency to maintain a competitive edge in the market, providing second-level production support for high availability and reliability of trading systems, and delivering within agreed constraints of time, effort and scope.

In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that drive business outcomes.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of solid experience in low-level Java development focused on tuning for low-latency trading systems
  • Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses, ensuring robust and reliable systems
  • Familiarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability
