About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team, providing expert clinical support and leadership to residents in an Aged Care Home.

As a leader in quality clinical care, you will inspire and educate care professionals to promote continual improvement of clinical care in the Aged Care Home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support:
    • Identify residents requiring clinical review and undertake comprehensive clinical assessments.
    • Develop and implement effective care plans in consultation with the clinical team and residents.
    • Provide guidance, education, and mentoring to the clinical team.
    • Offer timely support for unplanned incidents such as sudden clinical deterioration.
  • Clinical Specialization:
    • Deliver high-quality clinical care and lead improvements in team knowledge and skill application.
    • Develop and utilize a specialized area of practice to enhance resident care and outcomes.
  • Quality, Continuous Improvement and Risk:
    • Promote evidence-based best practices and support employees in providing exceptional care.
    • Educate Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses on maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge.
    • Ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation supporting funding requirements.
    • Participate in regular clinical meetings to identify and develop solutions for clinical care trends.
  • Professional Practice:
    • Maintain current professional practice and ongoing development through continuous learning.
    • Comply with statutory regulations and standards of practice as a Registered Nurse.
    • Identify and promote networking opportunities to support professional growth and development.
  • Work Health & Safety (WHS):
    • Work safely to minimize risks to self and others, adhering to established WHS policies and procedures.
    • Report hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly and appropriately.
    • Participate in Return to Work plans following workplace injuries or incidents.
