Key Responsibilities:- Provide effective after-hour clinical management of ward inpatients across all acute and subacute wards and the Coronary Care Unit.
- Supervise junior medical officers, including patient assessment, treatment decisions, emergency management, procedure performance, patient flow, and accurate medical record-keeping.
- Consult with relevant consultants and specialty registrars as needed, maintaining effective clinical handover at the end of each shift.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, planning, delivering, and coordinating patient care.
- High-level communication skills, including conveying and adapting verbal and written information to various audiences.
- Good organisational and time management skills, managing competing priorities in a complex environment.
- High-level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem-solve.
- Previous experience in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
- Commitment to General and Acute Care Medicine through training and experience.
