Job Summary:

Clean and maintain the warehouse and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers. This includes cleaning floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms, as well as restocking supplies and performing routine repairs. Additionally, assist with front-end duties and other departments as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms by operating self-propelled floor scrubbing machinery, and by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping.
  • Empties trash from designated areas throughout the warehouse. Pulls merchandise slip sheets and loose cardboard from sales floor. Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Follows daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.
  • Follows safety and security procedures. Correct use of PPE. Responds quickly to clean up spills.
  • Paints, replaces bulbs, maintains equipment, and performs routine repairs throughout warehouse. Assists in building displays and fixtures.
  • Maintains grounds outside warehouse including blowing leaves, picking up litter, roof checks, and building maintenance.
  • General upkeep on the warehouse with handyman type tasks.
  • Provides prompt and courteous member service.

Requirements:

Applicants will need to be available between the hours of 7.00am AND 10pm working a 24 hour week including weekends. Costco is a drug and alcohol free workplace. Employees can be tested at any time during their employment and candidates may be subject to pre-employment screening.
