Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our valued resource protection team as a Protection Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a role that makes a real difference in the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prevent theft, mischief, and fraud by discreetly observing for suspicious behaviors and characteristics.
  • Approach situations with a customer-first mindset, maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Conduct regular security audits of the building and assets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Perform arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Document all evidence and type clear, concise reports as required.

Requirements:

  • A valid BC Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
  • Solid decision-making skills with the ability to make quick decisions under difficult circumstances.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset) and fluency in a second language (also considered an asset).
  • Open availability (considered an asset) to meet the demands of this dynamic role.
