The Southport Private Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive mental health and rehabilitation services to the Gold Coast community.

About The Role

This casual role involves working in our fast-paced Catering team, delivering exceptional customer service in line with our core values.

We cater to a wide range of nutritious meals to patients, and you will be responsible for maintaining food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety practices.

  • Maintaining food safety, a clean working area, and adhering to safety protocols
  • Delivering food and beverages to hospital patients and doctors
  • Washing dishes and cleaning according to the Food Safety Plan (FSP)
  • Assisting in monitoring and recording requirements of the FSP, including temperature recording and cleaning schedule completion
  • Supporting the broader team as required, while maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or healthcare environment is not essential
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, and Workplace Health and Safety standards
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable
  • Ability to adapt to and promote our core values
