Job Overview

The primary role of the School Guidance Specialist is to provide career and college guidance services to students in grades 6-12. This involves assisting students with exploring their interests and aptitudes, identifying potential career paths, and developing a plan to achieve their goals.

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment. The successful candidate will have experience working with adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized guidance services to students, including counseling and advising on college and career options.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student achievement, including tracking progress and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure that students receive comprehensive support throughout their academic journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to parents and guardians.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education or counseling.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
