Job OpportunityWe are seeking an enthusiastic Scientist to work as part of a highly supportive and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the processing of laboratory specimens, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete results with emphasis on prioritizing urgent and time-critical specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Specimen reception and registration
- Sample preparation and analysis
- General laboratory housekeeping
- Stock rotation
- Equipment maintenance
- Verification of results, if applicable
- Relevant qualifications and experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory
- Practical and appropriate experience working in a diagnostic laboratory environment
- Sound knowledge and experience in the use of laboratory equipment, automated analysers, and quality control material
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Sound knowledge and experience in working in a quality-controlled environment and an understanding of NATA accreditation requirements
- Ability to adapt to change and to work with a dynamic team
- Current South Australian driver's license
