
Close Observation Unit RN Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Close Observation Unit at Auburn Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised excellent patient/client care within a health service environment to maximise the health outcomes for a patient/client, within a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
Selection Criteria:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated extensive and recent critical nursing skills and experience, demonstrated resuscitation experience desired. Currently working in Critical Care Nursing or minimum 6 months recent critical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
- Capacity to work seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal.
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care.
Requirements:
- Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
