Veterinary Care and Clinical Experience

We offer veterinary technology students hands-on, real-world experience at one of our many small animal, large animal, or mixed practice locations. With numerous sites across the US and Canada, we provide ample opportunities for students to enhance their skills while building valuable connections.
Our externship program is designed to deliver a comprehensive learning experience in a hospital setting. Students gain hands-on experience in various aspects of veterinary care, including patient assessment, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia management.
- Gaining hands-on experience in a clinical environment
- Evaluate patients and collect comprehensive medical histories
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with medical procedures, treatments, and nursing care
- Perform patient treatments, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiography, and lab work
- Administer medications and assist with anesthesia and perioperative care
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technology Program
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
