Behaviour Support Practitioner

We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in the Canberra region.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your professional and clinical skills while expanding your leadership capabilities.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for the ACT. You'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners.

The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

About the Role

  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Support employees with clinical techniques
  • Undertake Clinical Supervision of Core Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist
  • High level oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
