Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Training Manager Job

The Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Training Manager role at TAE Aerospace offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of training within our MRO operations. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that meet the evolving needs of our organization and ensure regulatory compliance.

As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for identifying training needs, selecting training methods, developing a training framework, and implementing technical learning either in the workplace or training environment. You will work closely with appointed workplace trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop resources for On-the-Job training (OJT). Additionally, you will review learning materials to improve the quality of learning outcomes and update the company technical training and development manuals.

We are looking for an individual with exceptional time management, communication, and consultation skills. You must be able to communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment and possess a strong understanding of Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) or similar learning system methodologies. Experience using Learning Management System(s) is also highly desirable.

This role involves a range of responsibilities including:

  • Identifying TAE training needs and determining the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for employees to excel in their roles
  • Selecting training methods and developing a training framework to ensure existing employees are suitably trained and competent when scope changes are made in program delivery
  • Developing a training framework to ensure new employees are trained and deemed competent to the same level as existing employees
  • Designing technical learning outcomes, developing lesson plans and assessments, in line with organisational learning principles
  • Assisting appointed workplace trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) with resources for On-the-Job training (OJT)
  • Implementing technical learning either in the workplace or training environment
  • Reviewing learning materials in line with organisational learning principles to improve the quality of learning outcomes
  • Reviewing and updating the company technical training and development manuals

They must also have exceptional time management, communication, and consultation skills and be able to communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
