Job Title: Master Fabricator

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced master fabricator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a passion for quality craftsmanship and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to fabricate parts accurately.
  • Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using tools such as shears, guillotines, press brake, and rollers.
  • Assemble metal components and fabricate/join using stainless steel and aluminum TIG welding, riveting, and soldering techniques.
  • Ensure quality compliance by inspecting parts and finished products to confirm they meet required tolerances and design specifications.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with workplace safety standards, including correct use of PPE and safe machinery operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other fabricators to meet production targets and resolve issues.
  • Maintain tools and equipment by performing routine checks and minor maintenance to ensure machines and tools operate efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Australian-recognised trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a 1st Class Sheet Metal Fabricator.
  • High-level proficiency in sheet metal bending, cutting, and welding techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and solve fabrication challenges on the go.
  • Strong understanding of materials, processes, and production methods in metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused attitude.
  • Must have permanent Australian work rights.
