Job Title: Senior Cost Manager

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Canberra. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) specific deliverables within a larger project or leading direct M&E commissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish early budgets, early estimating, and cost planning, tendering and procurement, and post-contract duties.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients, including establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage a team of Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the M&E discipline.
  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of M&E systems and supply chain, with the ability to work collaboratively.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards.
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
  • Experience in delivering M&E elements of work for clients.
  • Knowledge & contacts within the M&E supply chain (tier 1 and below).
  • Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management services.
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent people person and great communicator, both client-facing and team-based.
  • Ideal candidate will be an Australian citizen with NV2 clearance.
