This is a full-time appointment on a tenurable basis for a Teaching and Research position in the Department of Social Work and Social Policy.
- Deliver quality teaching and unit coordination in social work;
- Undertake research and obtain research funding, individually or in collaboration;
- Supervise research students and contribute to the academic environment of the School;
The ideal candidate will have completed 4 years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in an academic field relevant to social work. They will also have knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing, as well as demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and effective teaching approaches and materials.
In this role, you will be part of a team that is committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all staff and students. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues who are passionate about improving community health and wellbeing through evidence-based research and education.
You will be required to participate in high-quality research, publish your findings, and contribute to the development of new courses and programs. You will also be expected to supervise research students and provide guidance and support to junior academics.
