Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Medical Officer to join our committed rural health team at Moranbah Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Practitioner or Rural Generalist to work in a collaborative model, providing a broad scope of practice across inpatient, Emergency Department, and outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a 12-bed acute inpatient facility, Emergency Department, and various community, allied health, mental health, and specialist outpatient services.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Conduct regular health checks, screenings, and diagnostic tests to identify potential health issues early on.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
About the Role:

- A total remuneration package of up to $498,759 p.a., including base salary, professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, attraction & retention incentive allowance, and generous on-call and overtime allowances.
