Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a dynamic and challenging role in Infectious Diseases, managing complex cases across inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage complex cases across inpatient and outpatient settings, utilising strong clinical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Develop and implement effective antimicrobial stewardship strategies to improve patient care and reduce antibiotic resistance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals from various disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes and enhance the hospital's reputation as a centre of excellence in Infectious Diseases.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient safety and service delivery.
Key Requirements
- FRACP (or equivalent) qualification in Infectious Diseases or a related field.
- Registrable as a specialist in Infectious Diseases with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex cases and developing antimicrobial stewardship programs.
