About the Role
Job SummaryThe Senior Credit Officer is responsible for ensuring the quality of risks taken on corporate and institutional banking activities, monitoring the risk profile of corporate exposures, and leading the Corporate Clients Continuum.
This role guarantees independent assessment of credit risks as well as ESG ones throughout the credit process and until maturity. The Senior Credit Officer will concur or not with coverage and business lines delegation holders on files presented to credit committees.
Key Responsibilities- Guarantee the conformity of decisions to credit and ESG policies.
- Monitor the credit portfolio under responsibility by assessing its risk profile periodically.
- On files under responsibility, guarantee jointly with coverage and business lines teams that commitments are in line with bank risk appetite principles and credit policies.
- Ensure fair valuation of the credit portfolio through provisioning process and identification of non-performing clients.
- Strong credit and analytical skills.
- Critical thinking and sound judgement.
- High degree of ethical standards.
- Resilience and ability to handle high level of credit delegation.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
