Job Overview:

The role of an ESG Project Manager, APAC entails providing assurance of GHG/ESG information for multinational clients across various sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

  • A degree-level education in sustainability, engineering, business, or audit-related fields.

  • Expertise in project management, managing multiple clients simultaneously, and ensuring deadline delivery.
  • A deep understanding of assurance standards (ISAE 3000, ISSA 5000, ISO 14064-3), assurance assertions (completeness, existence, accuracy), and audit procedures.
  • Broad working knowledge of all sustainability/ESG topics, including GHG emissions, waste, biodiversity, health and safety, EDI, supply chain, governance, etc.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and GHG reporting frameworks used as reporting frameworks, such as GHG Protocol (Corporate Standard plus Scope 3 Guidance), ASRS S1 and S2, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Australian regulatory reporting obligations, such as National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERs), Clean Energy Regulatory Safeguard Mechanism, Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) S1 and S2, and ASIC Climate Guidance.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of sustainable finance services, such as Second Party Opinions (SPOs), Sustainability-linked Loans (SLL), with context around sustainability finance frameworks like Green Loan Principles, Green Bond Principles, and Climate Bond Standard.
  • An appreciation for maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Proven ability in data and spreadsheet analysis (Microsoft Excel).
  • Demonstrable writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly and contribute enthusiastically to our growing business.
  • Team player with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Ability to travel internationally for client site visits.
