Deputy Head of Secondary Job Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Deputy Head of Secondary. This key role plays a vital part in shaping the growth and development of our Secondary School community.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with experience in guiding daily life in a school environment. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

This leadership position involves overseeing curriculum delivery, supporting staff in their professional practice, and leading a strong pastoral program that encourages students to thrive academically, socially, and personally.

The successful applicant will be responsible for student wellbeing, behaviour, and co-curricular opportunities, championing a holistic approach to education that equips young people to serve beyond themselves.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students. The Deputy Head of Secondary will work closely with the Head of Secondary to support teacher practice, curriculum delivery, and pastoral programs.

The role requires a thoughtful Christian leader who has a heart for discipleship and formation, with proven leadership experience within a Secondary setting. A qualified teacher with current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is also essential.

  • A highly collaborative, organised, and communicative individual with strong interpersonal skills will succeed in this role.
  • Current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement are required.
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education is essential.
