Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our geotechnical team in a 12-week residential program. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with data collection, site inspections, and risk management activities.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Conduct field observations and document geotechnical hazards.
- Analyze data to inform operational planning and decision-making.
- Maintain and update visual risk communication tools.
- Assist with rock sampling and testing programs under supervision.
- Back-analyze rockfalls and slope failures using site data.
- Prepare reports and presentations on geotechnical findings.
- You should have a current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, or similar degree.
- Prior experience with relevant software and systems is preferred.
- You must possess strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
- A valid manual driver's licence and willingness to live and work remotely are necessary.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering and contribute to the development of safe and efficient mining practices.
