Are you a visionary leader looking to make a difference in the sports industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Executive Officer.

This is a fantastic chance to lead a prominent national sports organization with over 30,000 members. Our client is a renowned advocate for athletes' rights, promoting responsible sportsmanship and organizing competitions across various disciplines. With a diverse range of sports activities, they provide training, safety programs, and education for their members while representing the interests of sports enthusiasts nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily branch operations, manage staff effectively, ensure compliance with all legislative employment requirements, and provide advice on corporate governance practices. Develop and implement strategic business plans, focusing on policy documentation. Assist with financial planning and management of branch assets. Provide administrative support to Sydney Branch Managers for day-to-day running of activities. Maintain WH&S compliance and implement policies to meet regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Range Planning sub-committee on acquiring or developing Sydney-based facilities. Handle member inquiries regarding branch matters and develop social media content. Coordinate and plan branch events, including competitions, functions, and meetings.

Background & Skills:

Must pass relevant Police checks for working in a regulated industry. Hold a current driver's license and be willing to travel the greater Sydney area or interstate as needed. Demonstrable experience in managing not-for-profit organizations with large membership bases. Understanding of the Associations Act and ability to adhere to club constitutions. Previous experience with HR, Recruitment, OHS, Business Administration, Association Reporting, and Stakeholder Engagement. Proven ability to manage paid and volunteer staff and stakeholders. Relevant business qualifications or successful business management experience. High level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Understanding of financial reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheets, and Budgets. Ability to work independently and autonomously as a team player.
