Job Title: Emergency Medicine Clinical Director

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Emergency Medicine Clinical Director to lead our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Clinical Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Emergency Department team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and services. The role demands strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Emergency Department team
  • Develop and implement plans to optimize resource utilization and improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high standards of service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policy directions, service standards, and financial targets
About the Hospital

The hospital serves a population of approximately 116,000 and has two major sites located approximately 50km apart. The Emergency Departments handle an estimated 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient population.

Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • Hold or be eligible for FACEM
  • Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Emergency Medicine at a Consultant Level, ideally with Head of Department/Clinical Director experience
  • IMGs who are about to lodge their Specialist Assessment Application with ACEM, or awaiting their ACEM interview, or who have been assessed by ACEM and found to be partially or substantially comparable
