Job Title:

Preparation and Setup Specialist

Job Description:

The primary objective of the Preparation and Setup Specialist is to ensure the safe preparation and setup of charges in ore stopes / development headings as required.

  • Ensuring fulfillment of Shotfirer and Dangerous Goods and Explosives handling statutory obligations.
  • Fulfilling Magazine Controlling obligations.
  • Ensuring re-entries are done as per procedures.
  • Hole casing as required.
  • Complying with and undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Supervisor.

Personnel will be required to work in all sections of the mine, & at all times work in a safe manner, with a high standard of workmanship.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Charge Up Operator is necessary, along with current possession of a valid shot firing certification & Dangerous Good Security Card.
  • A commitment to quality work outcomes.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe work environment at all times.
  • Ability to work a 7:7 roster (12 hour days and nights).
  • Current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
