Job Description

The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta seeks a dedicated and passionate Primary K-6 Teacher to join our community of educators.

About the Role

This part-time position involves delivering high-quality contemporary learning and teaching to students, promoting their physical, social, and intellectual development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, including Religious Education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that meet the learning requirements of students.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment, ensuring fair and equitable behavior management.
  • Evaluate teaching practices to ensure they meet the learning needs of students, using student assessment data to identify barriers to learning.
  • Communicate with parents/carers regarding student progress and involve them in the educational context.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of Key Learning Areas, including Religious Education.
  • Ability to structure lessons that cater to the physical, social, and intellectual development of students.
  • Able to create meaningful learning experiences for students, interpreting and using student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling collaboration with school communities and promotion of links between school, home, and community.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
