Cultural Training Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) at Macquarie University.
About the RoleThe Manawari Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of Manawari Cultural Training to a wide external audience. This role is integral to the administration of Online Manawari Staff and Student training, including establishing session dates, times, and venues, and the evaluation of participant assessments.
The Officer will also assist with face-to-face delivery of the training. This position is operationally located within the Office of PVC, Indigenous Strategy.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you must be detail-oriented with excellent organisational and administration skills, enabling planning, monitoring, and completion of training sessions, and the evaluation of participant assessments.
You should also be able to demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills, including phone and email communication, and presentation delivery.
Demonstrated contribution to achieving positive outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities is also essential.

Key Skills and Qualifications- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with a demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander values, connections, and knowledges.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite, particularly MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstrated contribution to achieving positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
- High level written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisational skills.
- Tertiary qualification and/or project management/administration experience.
