The Role


We are seeking an Aboriginal Cultural Training Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of Manawari Cultural Training to external audiences.


This role involves planning, monitoring, and completing training sessions, as well as evaluating participant assessments. The officer will also assist with face-to-face delivery of the training.


The position is operationally located within the Office of Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Strategy.



About You


To succeed in this role, you must have excellent organisational and administration skills. You should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills.


You should also be able to contribute to achieving positive outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Tertiary qualification and/or project management/administration experience
  • A demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander values, connections, and knowledges
  • High level written and verbal communication skills


Benefits


This is a full-time continuing role with a salary range of $96,273 to $106,270 per annum, plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
