Medical Oncology Registrar Position

Provide high quality patient treatment and care while contributing to research programs and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high quality patient care using evidence based approaches, including attending inpatients of the medical oncology unit and patients referred by other units or specialist clinics.
  • Participate in after-hour and weekend cover rosters for medical oncology.
  • Complete all patient related documentation according to needs.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary treating teams.
  • Contribute to team meetings and educational activities.
  • Engage in regular peer review patient related activities.
  • Support departmental research projects and audits.
  • Respond promptly to on call commitments.
Education and Training Requirements:
  • Participation in Royal Australasian College of Physicians physician-training program is mandatory.
  • Maintain satisfactory clinical and academic performance, reviewed every six months.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Registerable Medical Qualifications with the Medical Board of Victoria.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with medical staff and other disciplines.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • AHPRA Registration.
