About the Role
We are seeking trade qualified fitters to join our team at Borg Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of particle board products for the joinery and structural flooring industries.
As a maintenance fitter, you will be responsible for providing support to our maintenance department, undertaking project work, preventative, scheduled & unscheduled breakdown maintenance, fault finding and trouble shooting.
You will work in a team environment and autonomously, participating in routine maintenance functions for the manufacturing facility, monitoring equipment to identify possible breakdowns and repairing as required.
Maintaining and improving existing manufacturing facility systems, you will also be responsible for fault finding and problem solving, identifying root causes of machinery failures and assisting in the elimination of reoccurring failures.
Providing technical support to production personnel, training and mentoring apprentices, and contributing to the continuous improvement of safety standards and systems, you will be a key member of our team.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have an appropriate Engineering trade qualification - Certificate III (or higher), experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Demonstrated experience in pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, established metal machining skills, and experience in fabrication/welding are also highly regarded.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work effectively independently or in a group, and a strong focus on safety are essential for this role.
