About the Role

We are seeking a Trade Assistant to join our Construction and Engineering team at Mount Gambier - SA. In this position, you will assist trades (fitters, electricians, steel erectors), assist our fleet of mobile cranes, and perform general crane and lifting gear maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist trades in various tasks
  • Assist with mobile crane operations
  • Perform general maintenance on crane and lifting gear
  • Operate various machinery, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure safe loading and transport of steel, mechanical, and structural components

Requirements

  • A willingness to learn and be flexible with duties
  • Experience working with hand and power tools
  • Relevant HRW Dogging or Rigging Licence an advantage
  • A (CN) Non slewing mobile cranes licence (greater than three tonnes capacity) (an advantage)
  • A Forklift licence
  • General labouring experience
  • A strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail, quality, and safety
  • HC truck licence (an advantage)
  • Ability to read structural and engineering drawings (an advantage)
