About the Role

As a Hibachi Culinary Artist, you will be responsible for captivating and entertaining guests while delivering a distinctive dining experience. Your primary focus will be on cooking and preparing meals on hibachi grills directly in front of patrons, ensuring that food portions are accurate and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. You will also prepare and organize ingredients for cooking and side dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain kitchen logs to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and food items.
  • Design and present food in an appealing manner, creating decorative displays.
  • Oversee the quantity of food prepared and served.
  • Set up and dismantle workstations efficiently.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, portioning, and storing.
  • Thaw frozen food items in the refrigerator as needed.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal expertise.
  • Cook food in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure food quality is maintained throughout the preparation process.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • Strong knowledge of teppanyaki, sushi, and pan-Asian culinary techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience as a Teppanyaki Chef.
  • A creative approach to food preparation and presentation.
  • High standards of personal grooming.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
