About Our Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Disability Support Worker to join our team.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with disabilities.

Your role will involve providing assistance with daily living skills, social participation, and transportation to enable our participants to engage fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with daily living skills, including domestic duties, routines, cooking, cleaning, and financial skills
  • Providing meaningful support to enable participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities
  • Transporting participants to complete daily activities, attend appointments, go to and from school/work, and participate in community activities
  • Helping participants become more independent with daily skills, including public transport awareness, financial skills, budgeting, pursuing studies and/or work, driver's license achievements, and other tasks

Requirements:

  • A current employee Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • A current National Police Check (NPC)
  • A current driver's license, with access to a clean, road-worthy vehicle for transporting participants/young people
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • An NDIS screening check
  • Proof of double Vaccination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disability Support work experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • Driver Licence (preferred)
  • Blue Card (preferred)
