
Rural Addiction Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Drug and Alcohol Clinician. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.
In this role, you will provide specialist assessment, care planning, treatment, withdrawal management, case management and referral services to people experiencing drug and alcohol problems. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to further develop and deliver comprehensive drug and alcohol services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to clients, carers and other healthcare professionals
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify individualized care plans
- Develop and implement effective treatment programs for clients with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with community services and agencies to ensure seamless transitions and continuous support
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum two years clinical experience working in the drug and alcohol sector
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in drug and alcohol clinical practices and treatment interventions
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for recovery-oriented, person-centered, and trauma-informed care
- 5 weeks paid annual leave per year (pro-rata)
