**About the Role:** We are seeking an experienced and skilled Community Manager/Cook to join our team at Ingenia Gardens Sovereign. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day management of the community, ensuring high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, resident satisfaction, and occupancy. In addition to managing community operations, this role also involves preparing and serving quality meals, managing stock and food safety, and maintaining a clean, compliant kitchen and dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of the community, ensuring high standards in cleanliness, maintenance, resident satisfaction, and occupancy
  • Prepare and serve quality meals, manage stock and food safety, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen and dining area
  • Foster a welcoming environment, support social activities, and build positive relationships with residents while respecting their privacy
  • Lead and support staff, provide feedback, manage rosters, and ensure contractors meet service expectations
  • Handle tenancy paperwork, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and safety standards
  • Conduct daily site audits, manage risks, and ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment in line with WHS and food safety requirements

About You:

  • Current First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain), and a valid 'C' class driver's licence
  • Proven ability to manage staff, give constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders
  • Strong decision-making skills, ability to respond to emergencies, and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Possession of passion for cooking in volume, understanding of HACCP and food safety standards, and commitment to delivering high-quality meals
  • Self-motivated, well-presented, able to work unsupervised, and collaborate positively with the broader team
  • Comfortable with lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and using kitchen and cleaning equipment safely with PPE
