A crucial role in our organisation, this position will be responsible for translating complex questions into actionable insights, turning data into models and stories that drive business decisions.

As a key member of our team, you will explore large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies, design and build models using statistical and machine learning techniques, and communicate your findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explore large, curated datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Design and build models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help lift the broader analytics capability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified with a PhD in a quantitative field or hold a masters (research) or PhD in a quantitative field or Master's (coursework) or bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with at least 1 year experience or hold a Masters (coursework) or bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in retail, financial markets or marketing.
  • Strong grounding in probability and statistics to justify methods, not just run models.
  • Turn complex analyses into persuasive, visually clear insights with clear recommendations.
  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks with measurable outcomes.
  • Understand the value of data in driving business performance and customer outcomes.
  • Work effectively across disciplines, aligning data solutions with broader team goals.
  • Comfortable experimenting with new tools, methods, and ways of thinking to solve problems.
