Job Overview

This role provides specialized electrical engineering support to a fixed plant maintenance department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality engineering expertise in areas such as compliance, defect elimination, process control improvements, and condition monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for the electrical asset condition monitoring program, including input into an asset health program. They will also lead electrical defect elimination investigations, effectively manage assigned electrical based failures/defects, and drive plant performance from an electrical aspect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new and existing maintenance strategies and tactics, incorporating plant operational readiness input.
  • Be responsible for the electrical asset condition monitoring program, including input into the asset health program.
  • Lead electrical defect elimination investigations, and effectively manage assigned electrical based failures/defects.
  • Drive plant performance from an electrical aspect, linking reliability with in-house process control engineers, the Operational Technology team, and the Electrical Projects team.
  • Provide technical guidance within the fixed plant maintenance support team, providing input into key decisions on asset condition, strategy, process control, and project scoping.
  • Offer engineering troubleshooting & mentoring support directly or by coordinating the input of engineering specialists.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A collaborative team player who openly supports group reliability initiatives and systems of work.
  • Experience with Citect/SCADA systems.
  • Previous experience in applying reliability methods and techniques gained within relevant industry, including RCA facilitation, RCM application, and FMEA/FMECA development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian Electrical & instrumentation installation Standards, plus industrial safety, engineering standards, and codes.
  • Proficient use of CMMS systems such as SAP, AX, or other similar software.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the reliability team and across departments within the business.
