Job Opportunity

A professional and caring family in Sydney seek a dedicated nanny to assist with the care of their 13-week-old newborn baby boy.

The ideal candidate would be experienced, warm, calm, and nurturing, with a friendly and playful demeanor. They would actively engage with the baby to help with growth and development.

The family requires someone who genuinely enjoys their role as a nanny, is patient, honest, safe, clean, tidy, responsible, and able to care for the baby and household throughout the day.

Prior experience or professional qualifications working with young or newborn babies is highly important for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Care for the baby
  • Follow the baby's routine
  • Prepare meals and snacks for the baby/introduce solids when required
  • Play and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in the baby's development
  • Take the baby out for walks/park playground
  • Light household duties: clearing, tidying, unstacking/stacking dishwasher
  • Wash and sterilise bottles
  • Family laundry (wash, hang out, fold)
  • Preparation of family meals (occasional)

The days and normal hours are Monday to Friday and Saturday, 22.5 hours per week.

The family expects the following from their nanny:

  • Experience as a nanny or in childcare for at least 5 years
  • Young baby experience (below 6 months of age)
  • A current first aid certificate
  • A current Working with Children's Check
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Ability to cook
  • Ability to swim
  • Fitness, health, and an active lifestyle
