About the Role

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our Transport Planning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transport planning, urban planning, placemaking, precinct planning and transport assessments.

The successful applicant will work closely with clients to deliver high-quality proposals and ensure successful project delivery through different stages of the project lifecycle within agreed time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to meet client & project requirements, ensuring successful delivery of concurrent projects.
  • Identify and qualify potential new clients aligned with our service line strategy, develop pursuit plans, lead go/no go processes and manage bid/tender activities for the team.
  • Generate new work and profitable business performance through maintenance and building upon new and existing client relationships.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice relating to traffic engineering, land use/transport integration, approval processes and management.
  • Develop and implement project recommendations that are feasible within budget and time constraints.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in relevant field (e.g. Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Engineering, Business/Commerce, Economics).
  • Demonstrated understanding of transport planning, urban planning, placemaking, precinct planning and transport assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience working and advising on public sector projects.
  • Experience as a people leader with proven experience successfully guiding and coaching project teams.
  • Proven project management skills across full life cycle of projects (medium to large).
  • Demonstrated skills in managing successful proposals and pursuits to win new business.
  • GIS experience is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
