About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GP Medical Educator to join our team at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). As a GP ME, you will play a crucial role in supporting the next generation of general practitioners through targeted support and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to GP registrars, supervisors, and practices across a designated region.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of GP registrars and supervisors.
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinators and Program Support Officers to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with registrars, supervisors, and practices to understand local needs and provide personalized training and support.
  • Work closely with supervisors to offer professional development opportunities and in-practice teaching advice.
  • Promote general practice as a career and work with local organizations and health services to strengthen the GP training pipeline.
Requirements
  • RACGP fellowship (or equivalent) and a passion for medical education.
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring registrars, medical students, or peers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
