About the Role: Our organization is seeking a skilled Clinical Governance Specialist to implement, monitor, and evaluate quality standards, policies, procedures, and programs. This individual will provide clinical governance within our work area, ensuring patient safety and minimizing risks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing processes to identify, avoid, or minimize risks to patients, staff, volunteers, visitors, and our Hospital and Health Services (HHS). They will maintain accurate records related to patient safety and clinical incident investigations, in compliance with legislative standards. Additionally, they will contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality patient safety and risk mitigation initiatives to support continuous improvement and standards compliance.

This role involves collaborating with the Practice Leader - Clinical Quality Safety and Accreditation to ensure seamless integration of quality patient safety and risk mitigation initiatives. The ideal candidate will analyze data trends and produce reports for senior management to inform decision-making across our organization. They will also support training of staff in patient safety and risk mitigation based on needs assessment and consultation with clinicians and management.

About You: To be considered for this role, applicants must possess strong clinical governance skills and experience in implementing quality standards, policies, procedures, and programs. A Registered Nurse must hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate. Administration Officer applicants are not required to have mandatory qualifications but relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
