Job Description

As a seasoned data migration expert, you will play a pivotal role in assisting businesses, not-for-profits, and governments in optimizing their data migration processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing effective data mapping, testing & reconciliation frameworks, as well as developing data profiling and quality monitoring processes.

With your extensive experience in large-scale data migration projects, you will work closely with clients to advise on best practices and innovative uses of data to solve complex problems. Your ability to communicate technical risks and requirements in a clear business context will be essential in ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on data migration strategies and requirements
  • Designing and implementing data mapping, testing & reconciliation frameworks
  • Developing data profiling and quality monitoring processes
  • Providing specialist advice on best practices and innovative uses of data
  • Communicating technical risks and requirements in a clear business context
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with data engineering, ETL tools, and data quality
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R
  • Familiarity with project delivery toolsets such as DataStage, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, or Azure Data Factory

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills
  • Able to work closely with non-technical stakeholders
  • Consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients
