We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Career Mentor. As a Career Mentor, you will support individuals with disability, injury, or health conditions in preparing for a meaningful career.

Your key responsibilities will include working closely with clients to plan their next career steps and help them find the right job. You will build strong relationships to understand their goals, strengths, and support needs.

You will provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress. Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group activities. Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.

About This Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience or a genuine passion for employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions. You will be outcomes-focused, highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

You will enjoy engaging with employers to understand their needs and prepare candidates who are the right fit. Lead with integrity, empathy, and inclusive, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You bring empathy, energy, and a drive to make a difference. You have experience or a genuine passion for employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.

You are confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.

Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends is also required.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable
  • Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
  • Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
