This position requires the ability to perform a wide range of military tactical aircraft maintenance tasks. The selected candidate will ensure the optimal condition and operation of complex aircraft systems, while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Maintenance and repair of aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Identification and resolution of equipment malfunctions using technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems.
- Technical guidance and leadership to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
- Conducting and supervising aircraft technical inspections.
- Computing basic weight and balance records.
- Participation in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
- Ensuring compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program, and test measuring diagnostic equipment calibration.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, five (5) or more years of aviation maintenance experience, and a valid FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) License for mechanics and Sheetmetal. Additionally, they must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET Clearance.
Key Qualifications:- Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
- Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory.
- Working knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.
