About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at Uniting. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide care and companionship for older people living in their own homes, helping to empower their independence and improve their quality of life in Menindee and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, and mealtime support
  • Assist with household tasks, such as housekeeping and grocery shopping
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social support activities
  • Provide social interaction and support to clients, including client observations and ongoing training and support
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
  • Provisional or full Australian driver's license and access to a full comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care
  • Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients
  • Empathetic and resourceful, with a commitment to living Uniting's values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold
